Become an Electrician Assistant

Our Electrical Skills course is designed to provide students with the knowledge and practical skills necessary to pursue a career as an electrician’s assistant. With comprehensive training covering basic electrical installation duties, students will be prepared to work under the supervision of licensed electricians. In addition to technical training, the course also includes financial literacy education, equipping students with the skills to manage personal finances.​

Kickstart Your Career as an Electrician’s Assistant with Comprehensive Electrical Training and NFPA 70E Certification.

Upon completing this 32-week program, students will be awarded a certificate of completion and gain eligibility to sit for the NFPA 70E certification exam, a recognized certification in electrical safety that can open additional employment opportunities.

Course Duration: 32 weeks (two 16-week terms)

  • Total Hours: 310

  • Lecture Hours: 172

  • Lab Hours: 138

 

Certifications Offered: NFPA 70E Certification (Electrical Workplace Safety)

Financial Literacy Training: 1 hour per week throughout the course

Upon completing the course, you will be able to:

  • Properly budget and manage personal finances.

  • Create an effective resume for future job opportunities.

   

Electrical Skills Development:

  • Understand the responsibilities and skill sets required for an electrician.

  • Perform basic electrical installations safely under supervision.

  • Interpret electrical drawings, including site plans and detailed schematics.

  • Safely work with wiring devices, meters, and various tools.

   

Safety and Compliance:

  • Recognize safe working practices in construction environments.

  • Understand NFPA standards, including NFPA 70, NFPA 70B, and NFPA 70E.

  • Conduct hazard assessments and apply lockout/tagout procedures.
